Why Labsterra

Labsterra opened in 2016 for artists who want to play together and still hear details clearly. We pair a 42 m² live room with 3 iso booths and a 18 m² control room — enough separation for a later mix, enough sight lines for energy in the room.

The rooms

Live room

42 m² for drums, guitars, bass and keys at once. Individual headphone mixes, view into the control room.

Iso booths

3 separate booths for vocals, spoken word and solo instruments without killing the live take.

Control room

18 m², treated for honest monitoring. Mix and master happen here; sessions sit on our 48 TB archive.

Up to 8 people on site when safety and acoustics allow.

Backline

Basic drum kit, digital piano and a few amps — bring your own sound where it matters.

We do not sell brand lists; mic choice follows your voice or instrument. More per service on vocal recording, band recording and podcast recording.

Getting here

Czaar Peterstraat 213, 1018 PL Amsterdam (Amsterdam-Oost). Tram 10 stops at Czaar Peterstraat; it is about a three-minute walk to number 213. From Oostplein metro (lines 51, 53 and 54) allow roughly ten minutes on foot along Czaar Peterstraat.

Hours: Tuesday–Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00. Closed Monday and Sunday. Sessions always by appointment. Directions on contact.

Files and rights

Once the agreed service is fully paid, recordings we make for you are yours within the limits of your contract and terms and conditions. On band projects we help with clear splits — see rights in band recording.
